We are RENNER, the Claycasein manufacturer in Balingen. We make the clay casein trowel compound ourselves in our manufactory in the Zollernalb district of Germany and sell it directly. We answer questions about recipe, substrate and quantities ourselves.

Our story

From renovating old buildings to Claycasein manufacturer in Balingen

We started in 2003 as a classic carpentry business. Many renovations of old buildings presented us with tasks that conventional construction methods do not solve satisfactorily. So we dealt more and more with original building materials and methods and realised projects in timber and clay construction.

Today rooms are largely conceived, planned and built ecologically. Often the idea fails when searching for a suitable seamless trowel floor. Since 2022 we have been filling this gap with Claycasein: made in our manufactory in Baden-Württemberg, in the Zollernalb district, from natural and renewable raw materials, impregnated wipeable with oil and wax. Comparable to oiled and waxed wooden floors. No cement, no plastics and no PU sealant.

The craft starts with the making and is completed by whoever trowels it. Our experience with the material comes from our own trials and from our customers projects. Through direct contact we keep improving the technique and the application guide. Most projects are done by the owners themselves, and we support them via WhatsApp. You can see what that looks like in the #clubclaycasein.
